GOLD

When the gold difficulty level is in play, territories with goldmines become activated.
Gold can be spent in two categories: buildings and special units.

1. Buildings

Gold Income: Depending on the number of goldmines you control, you’ll receive a specific amount of gold each turn, which can be spend on buildings.

Building possibilities: Within this category, you’ll encounter five distinct gold buildings, each offering unique bonuses that can be pivotal in your journey to victory. These buildings are stationary and cannot be moved around, adding a strategic layer to their placement. For example, a settlement allows you to recruit special units, while other buildings may enhance your military production or offer defensive advantage.

2. Special Units

Diverse Abilities: You may spend your Gold also on seven unique special units, each with its specific strengths and weaknesses. Think of it as a strategic game of rock-paper-scissors.

Strategic Depth: For example, archers may excel against certain units but suffer in defense against others, like cavalry. Special units introduce a new level of strategic thinking to your battles. Understanding their strengths and weaknesses is crucial to gaining the upper hand on the battlefield.

Varied Roles: From catapults that specialize in attacking buildings and capitals to giants with the strongest defense but vulnerabilities to axemen, each unit has a distinct role to play in your strategy.
Deciding when and where to deploy special units becomes a strategic choice that can turn the tide of battle.
