RESOURCE
When the Resource difficulty level is active, territories containing stone and wood resources become activated. Resources can be spent in four categories: Masters, Mission Cards, Buildings & Special Units.
1. Buildings
Resource Income: Depending on the number of stone or wood territories you control, you’ll receive a specific amount of wood or stone each turn. Resources are incredibly versatile but at the same time the least powerful tool. In the game’s economy, 2x resources hold the equivalent strength of 1x gold or 1x wisdom.
Building possibilities: Gaia Legacy includes eight distinct resource buildings, each offering unique bonuses that can significantly impact your path to victory. For example your settlements can evolve into three distinct types of towns, each offering specific advantages tailored to your strategy. Forts play a pivotal role in defense, Upgrading your forts to level 3 grants you the pinnacle of defense, ensuring that your territories remain secure against all threats.
2. Special Units
Limited selection: Unlike the wider array of special units available for purchase with gold, the Resource difficulty level limits your selection. You’ll have access to only three of the seven special units. Acquiring special units using resources is a costlier endeavor compared to their gold-based counterparts.
3. Deployer & Mission Cards
Deployer:
The Deployer master unlocks a powerful advantage by allowing you to purchase troops using the resources you’ve diligently collected.
The Deployer’s second ability is equally impactful. Whenever this master conquers a new territory, you’re rewarded with an additional unit.
Mission Cards:
Mission cards come in two categories. Half of them contain specific missions that, when completed, bestow a rewarding bonus upon your civilization. These missions can range from territorial conquests to conquering entire continents. The other half of mission cards offer small bonuses that can provide incremental advantages as you navigate the game.
